Senior DevOps Engineer (Bergen) 

We are excited to unveil an enriching career opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's IIoT enterprise located in Bergen. In this pivotal position, you will be entrusted with spearheading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the foundational architecture and operational frameworks that underlie our clients' IIoT solutions.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of collaboration with diverse teams, including development, operations, and quality assurance. Your primary objective will be to ensure the seamless deployment, functionality, and supervision of applications. Leveraging your expertise, you will play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency and reliability across the deployment lifecycle, thereby maintaining optimal performance and robust monitoring protocols.



Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and systems required for solutions, including but not limited to: cloud-based platforms, databases, networking, and security.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment of applications, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability of systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the DevOps team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and drive DevOps best practices across the organization.
 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and IIoT.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management practices.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and monitoring principles.
  • Fluent Norwegian language (written and spoken) is required.
