I am delighted to present a fantastic new opportunity for a Data Steward to join a dynamic Data and Analytics department within the Norwegian Government. They are currently transforming the way their department work with and utilize their data, starting with a brand new modern Data Platform and new team of highly skilled professionals.

As a core part of the team you would be responsible for working closely with the Data Governance team to ensure compliance in the use of data, and also work with the Analytics team to explore the potential of the data, and create value for everybody.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure and contribute to compliance with Data Governance requirements in the DataOps team. Register data in the data catalog for user accessibility and understanding.

  • Contribute to the consistent use of terms, business rules, and naming standard.

  • Identify and address issues related to data quality in collaboration with owners of source systems.

  • Provide support to Analytics and BI teams on Data Governance guidelines and tools, and follow up on compliance.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Technical Subjects.

  • At least 1.5 years of full time experience as a Data Steward/Data Host post education.

  • Experience with data catalogs and metadata management.

  • Expertise within Data Governance and a strong understanding of DataOps.
