2019 European Cloud Events
There's a number of exciting Cloud events taking place across Europe in 2019.
These conferences will give you the opportunity to learn from the experts and take advantage of peer-to-peer discussions and networking to develop new ideas and get the information you need to address current and future cloud issues.
We've put together a list of currently announced conferences, covering all of the big European events taking place throughout 2019:
January 2019
Event: Edge Europe 2019
Date: January 31st, 2019

Description: As data is generated at ever more exponential rates, and globally moves us towards the age of Yottabyte, so compute processing power disperses across enterprise, and cloud resources shift closer to the user. Massive amounts of data draw compute in, away from the core, which is the Edge. This trend for a more distributed architecture will multiply and expand as the convergence of new technologies and developments such as IoT, 5G, AI, autonomous cars and smart cities, connected things, microdatacenters and Edge facilities, enable new ways of analysing and managing data as well as increasing latency which existing infrastructure would not be able to handle.

Event: Cyber Security & Cloud Expo – Europe 2019

Event: IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing
Date: July 8th - 13th, 2019

Description: This is an IEEE conference solely dedicated to Cloud computing. IEEE Cloud is basically for research practitioners to exchange their findings on the latest cloud computing advances. It includes findings across all “as a service” categories, including network, infrastructure, platform, software, and function.
IEEE cloud 2019 invites original research papers addressing all aspects of cloud computing technology, systems, applications, and business innovations. These are mostly based on technical topics including cloud as a service, cloud applications, cloud infrastructure, cloud computing architectures, cloud management, and operations.

For this reason, our Kubernetes experts Bastian Hofmann & Simon Pearce from SysEleven have designed an intensive introductory workshop, in which they dive into the fundamental structure of Kubernetes as well as the details of the Network & Service Discovery with the participants Deploy Kubernetes.
The platform for Kubernetes is the OpenStack-based cloud from SysEleven, the SysEleven stack. The platform and Managed Kubernetes will be available for free for one month after the workshop. So they can apply and deepen what they have learned.

Event: AWS COMMUNITY SUMMIT - LONDON
Date: November 8th, 2019

Description: The day will consist of talks, workshops and networking and will provide an opportunity for people from all parts of the AWS ecosystem to meet, learn, and share experiences. Session topics will include all of the fundamentals such as compute, storage, databases, networking, security etc as well as serverless, AI/ML, the Well-Architected Framework, and Alexa.
The AWS Community Summit is supported by AWS but independent of them. It will provide the community with a platform to have a 'collective voice': an opportunity to explore what we love about AWS, but also what we'd like to see improved.
